Neelam Saxena Chandra continues to reach new heights with every new book that she comes up with. Using simple, but lucid language, she touches the heart of the readers. Viewers and readers are in love with her emotional and motivational poems and her solo live presentations of poems on her Facebook page have fetched more than 8 Million views at times.

 

She has rendered her poems in many international and national forums including SAARC, quite a few International festival by Sahitya Akademi, ISISAR, Jashn-e-Adab, Jashn—Hind, Poets Across Borders, USA Radio, Paper Fest, Big Dreams Fest etc and has been interviewed by several channels including Doordarshan and Doordarshan Sahyadri. Her interviews and book reviews have also appeared in various national newspapers such as The Hindu, Millenium Post, Dainik Bhaskar, Kadambini, Amar Ujala, Dainik Jagran, Sunday Standard, New Indian Express, Statesman, Navoday Times etc.

Neelam Saxena Chandra is an Indian Railway Officer, working as Chief Electrical Engineer at Mumbai.

 

Neelam Saxena Chandra is an Engineering graduate from VNIT and has done her Post Graduation Diploma in IM&HRD and also in Finance. She has completed a summer course in Finance from London School of Economics. She has authored 7 novels, 9 short story collections, 43 poetry collections and 15 children’s books to her credit. More than 2000 of her stories/poems/articles have been published in various international/national journals/magazines etc.

 

Neelam Saxena Chandra is a bilingual writer; writing in English and Hindi. She holds a record with the Limca Book of Records -2015 for being the Author having the highest number of publications in a year in English and Hindi. She has won a prize in a poetry contest organized by American Embassy & Arushi (awarded by Gulzar sahib), award by Women’s Web for fiction writing,  award in a National poetry contest organized by Poetry Council of India, 2016, award for writing for children by Children’s Book Trust, awarded a prize for her fiction by Women’s Web, etc. She has received, Sohanlal Dwivedi Puraskar for children’s literature by Maharashtra state Hindi Sahitya Akademi for the year 2018, Humanity International Women Achiever Awards 2018, Bharat Nirman Literary award in 2017, Premchand award (Twice) by Ministry of Railways, Rabindranath Tagore International Poetry award, Soninder Samman, Shabdshree Samman, Freedom award by Radio city for Lyrics along with other awards and honors. She was listed in Forbes as one among 78 most popular authors in the country in 2014. Her poem was also placed at no 7 in a contest organized by NAMI (NAMI: National Alliance on Mental Illness, USA) in 2021. She was recently awarded Reuel Life Time Achievement Award by The Significant League.

 

Her best- selling books include short- story collection “Lines of Fate”, “The Chiseled World” and “Rang Bhara Tohfa”, Hindi Poetry Books “Kai Basant dekhe hain Maine”, “Tilism-e-Zindagi” & “Moh se Bandhi Main”, Novels “The Red Diary” and “Karmic Threads”  English Poetry Books “Splinters of a Broken Mirror” “Garden of Fragility”, “Beneath the Dead Skin” and “The Lost Mint Taste”.

She loves to write on a variety of themes such as Motivational, Soulful, Social, Romantic, etc. She loves to write a lot on Nature and feels that there’s a lot of similarity between our lives and that of plans, rivers, mountains etc. She discovers philosophies of life by connecting the two.
