Double Recognition for VML as Milan Nakrani Wins Leadership Honour and Agency Secures Dragon at IBC’s Digital Dragon Awards

Milan Nakrani is named Best Digital Marketing Leader – Veteran Category, while VML wins Best Performance Driven Social Media Campaign for its work on Sturdo by Greenlam Laminates.

Mumbai — July 3, 2026 — VML achieved a significant double milestone at the Digital Dragons Awards 2026, organised by the Indian Business Council (IBC), with recognition for both its agency excellence and individual leadership. The agency's campaign for Sturdo by Greenlam Laminates won the Best Performance Driven Social Media Campaign award, while Milan Nakrani of VML was honoured with the Best Digital Marketing Leader – Veteran Category recognition.

The dual achievement celebrated two sides of VML's success — its ability to create impactful digital campaigns for brands and its strength in nurturing experienced marketing leaders who continue to influence the industry. While the campaign award recognised strategic thinking, creative execution and performance-driven results, Nakrani's honour acknowledged his experience, expertise and contribution to India's digital marketing ecosystem.

VML's winning campaign for Sturdo by Greenlam Laminates stood out for its effective use of social media to deliver business impact and audience engagement. The recognition highlighted the agency's ability to combine creativity with measurable outcomes, reinforcing its position as one of the leading players in India's marketing and communications space.

The Digital Dragons Awards 2026 brought together some of the country's most innovative brands, agencies and marketing professionals to celebrate excellence in digital marketing. Infidigit emerged as the biggest winner of the evening, securing nine Dragon Awards along with the prestigious Agency Of The Year 2026 title. Sattva Group earned three Dragon Awards for its #MyHappyCorner Children's Day campaign, Mumbai launch campaign and corporate website, while Lulu Group India received two Dragons for its digital marketing achievements.

Other notable winners included Goldmine, which won Best Content in a Social Media Marketing Campaign for Bank of Baroda's Pehchaan Con campaign; Savit Interactive, which received Best Search Marketing Campaign for National Academy; and KNOLSKAPE, which was recognised for Best B2B Marketing by an HR-Tech Company.

The awards also celebrated individual excellence across the industry. Viren Vesuwala was named Digital Person of the Year, Dinesh Shetty received the Digital Influencer of the Year honour, and Aniket Dhuri was recognised as Digital Marketer of the Year. Together, the winners represented the creativity, innovation and leadership shaping India's digital marketing future.
