1 Sudha Murthy

 

Sudha Murthy is an Indian engineering teacher and author in Kannada and English. Sudha Murthy began her professional career as a computer scientist and engineer. She is the chairperson of the Infosys Foundation and a member of public health care initiatives of the Gates Foundation. She has founded several orphanages, participated in rural development efforts, supported the movement to provide all Karnataka government schools with computer and library facilities, and established ‘The Murthy Classical Library of India’ at Harvard University. Murthy initiated a bold move to introduce computer and library facilities in all schools in Karnataka & taught computer science. She got “Best Teacher Award” in 1995 from Rotary Club at Bangalore. 2 Lata Vishwanath

 

 

Lata Vishwanath is a Bangalore based entrepreneur and author of four books.  An Electronics engineer and a Material scientist by training she took to writing after working for two decades in National Testing and Research laboratories in India and Singapore.

A multi-genre writer, her books have earned her several recognitions and awards. Apart from writing at her personal blogsite she also contributes to anthologies and magazines. As a promoter of Organic and Natural farming methods, renewable and clean energy resources, she is a contributor to the TerraGreen (TERI) magazine.

Inequalities in society, and evils like excessive consumption, corruption, environmental degradation, climate change, migrant issues, application of technology for betterment of society are some of the subjects that inform her non-fiction as well as fictional writings.

Strong women and women achievers, the agents of change from all rungs of the society inspire her writing too. Having lived outside of India for nearly two and half decades her writings are also influenced by cross-cultural elements of the world.

As a zesty entrepreneur she is directing her entrepreneurial energies in solar power harnessing, developing tools and equipment to position herself as a pioneer in Make in India products in the industry.

 

 

 

 3 Mahul Brahma

 

Prof (Dr.) Mahul Brahma is a two-time Sahityakosh Samman winning author of seven books. His eight book Decoding Aesthetic Leadership in Luxury is due for release later this year. He is a luxury commentator, columnist, academician, communication and brand strategist with over two decades of industry and academic experience. He is a Fellow of Bath Business School, UK and a former Professor of Communications, Dean and Director at Adamas University in India. He is a TEDx Speaker on mythic value of luxury and a podcaster of “tete-a-tete with Mahul”. Prof Brahma is an award-winning communications leader, specialising in strategic and crisis communications. He was head of CSR, Corporate Communications and Branding in a Tata group company. He has held several leadership positions in English media, including Chief Editor.    

 

He is an alumnus of -- IIM Calcutta, St Xavier's College (Calcutta), Sri Satya Sai University, MICA (Ahmedabad), University of Calcutta, Bath Business School UK, and University of Cambridge - Judge Business School.

 

He is the author of ‘The Luxe Trilogy’, which comprises three books – Decoding Luxe, Dark Luxe and Luxe Inferno. His fourth book ‘Quarantined: Love in the Time of Corona’ is an anthology of dark love stories and has received wide appreciation. His fifth book is How to Communicate Strategically in the Corporate World. His sixth book The Mythic Value of Luxury is a research-based study of myths and what makes luxury brands stand the test of time. His seventh book Mostly Missing: be Silly Be Slow is based on embracing an unconventional approach to life, shunning speed and seriousness towards living deeply and being mindful.

 

His short films were selected and screened at prestigious film festivals like Cannes Film Festival. He has acted in several Bengali feature films, including ‘Aparajito’ by Anik Dutta, a film on Satyajit Ray’s making of Pather Panchali.

 

 

4 Dr Ali Nawaz Zaidi

 

 

Dr Syed Ali Nawaz Zaidi is presently working as Professor at the Department of Law, Aligarh Muslim University, India. His teaching interests are in Human Rights, Company Law, International Trade Law and the Alternative Dispute Redressal. He has supervised 02 PhDs thesis and 07 LLM dissertations and has completed a major UGC sanctioned research project. 01 Authored Book, 02 Edited Book, 01 Reviewed Book, 04 Book Chapters and has 36 Research Papers in ugc-care ListReputed Journals are to his credit. He has been recently jewelled with the Award of Excellence as renowned Professor for contribution towards Indian Education under section of Studies & Learning "Aarohanam Award Series 2022". He has been contributing to the administrative functioning of AMU in the capacity of Deputy Registrar (2014-2017) and currently serves as Deputy/Officiating Proctor  as well as Advisor to the International Students of AMU.

 

 

 5 Shreyan Laha

 

 

Shreyan Laha is a sci-fi author who has four books in his name. “Not Worth Living For”, “A Tiny Reason to Live”, “A Year Without Summer” and “Virtually Lost”. Along with this, Shreyan also has half a dozen short stories published in his name and has been the winner of Rajiv Gandhi Youth Literary Award in 2014. His style of writing is something very unique and interesting for readers everywhere. He has different dimensions of his writing skills in which he is master and when it is about science fiction things we would definitely like to call him a wizard of words.
