900+ Young Leaders Gather for Rotaract’s Directors' Training Session in Mumbai
Mumbai, June 2026 - The halls of K.P.B. Hinduja College of Commerce in Worli came alive this weekend as more than 900 Rotaract members from across Mumbai convened for the annual Directors' Training Session (DTS) 2026 - 27, organised by Rotaract District 3141. The Rotary Club of Mumbai Malabar Hill served as the lead club, extending generous support to bring this flagship programme to life.
About Directors Training Seminar:
Rotaract, a global youth movement under Rotary International, empowers young adults to develop leadership skills, engage in community service, and build professional networks through college and community-based clubs. DTS marks the formal training of the Rotaract year, equipping incoming club leaders with the tools and knowledge to lead their respective avenues of service. The training was conceptualised and conducted by the District Training Team led by DRR Rtr. Shreehari Nair, with execution spearheaded by Rtr. Malcolm Vakharia, Chairman HRD, and his dedicated team: Rtr. Shivam Jadhav, Rtr. Shah Alam Khan, Rtr. Hrishita Sikarwar, Rtr. Kasturi Khutale, Rtr. Vibhay Singh and Rtr. Gungun Deka.

The dais was graced by Past Rotaract District Leader and now DRCC Rtn. Omm Chawla, Rtn. Piyush Shah (Group Avenue Head, Youth Services), Rotary Guest Rtn. Punit Vakil and Mr. Navin Punjabi, Principal of K.P.B. Hinduja College. Adding inspiration and excitement were Past Rotaract Leader Harikrishnan Pillai – Founder & CEO TheSmallBigIdea (TSBI), an International Marketing Agency and Mr. Dev Kantawala, popularly known as Vicky from the beloved show Vicky and Vetaal.
Highlights of the Day
Delegates engaged in interactive sessions across different avenues of service, with hands-on activities tailored to the practical needs of club leadership. A keynote by Harikrishnan Pillai, struck a chord with participants, leaving them with his memorable line: “If you are the smartest person in the room, you are in the wrong room.”
