Competitive Exams are considered as premier level examinations which open the gateway for various future career options. The number of exams in India for securing a government job, the competition and number of aspirants alone reflects the interest and environment here. The edtech brand Edunachal was officially established on 11th October 2021 as Edunachal Pvt Limited Company with the aim to provide quality teaching services for aspirants of competitive exams. Shamshad Alam is the Chief Executive of Edunachal and is a Teacher and Mentor whose work profile revolves around tutoring students, mainly mentoring them to clear various competitive exams held across the country.
He is an alumnus of the prestigious Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi, where he studied until Post Graduation and thereafter went on to qualify the Civil Services and other competitive exams. Shamshad also has an experience of working in a reputed MNC as a Research Analyst.
The Covid-19 Pandemic was a blessing for Shamshad as he was able to explore his entrepreneurial dream. Due to the lockdown, all educational institutions were closed and the idea of connecting students through various online platforms like G-Meet, Zoom, YouTube, Facebook and WhatsApp for the purpose of preparation for competitive exams led to the establishment of this educational platform.
Edunachal started its journey by providing services through Facebook and WhatsApp mainly in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. With the passage of time, it started expanding its base to various parts of North-East and main land India and is currently vested in imparting education to over twenty thousand students preparing for different competitive exams.
The institution’s success majorly revolves around Shamshad Alam who now works as a full-time entrepreneur, managing his educational venture with more than seventy staff members. Among his notable achievements include being selected as the “Aspirers of India” involving the five inspiring youth figures by LiveMint in the year 2015. He has also been contributing to a noble cause, the growth of North-eastern States by creating job opportunities and promoting women empowerment.
The learning platform provides training for more than twenty competitive exams, focusing majorly on UPSC, PCS, SSC, SSB, Banking and Teaching. The classes are held both in online as well as offline mode, the offline classes being operational in Itanagar and Naharlagun in Arunachal Pradesh, and Guwahati in Assam. Edunachal aims to make learning easy and interesting for aspirants by simplifying the complex concepts backed by its team of experts and professional faculties. Shamshad states that the North-east India especially Arunachal Pradesh being dominated by tribal population is a factor which has raised the question about the Quality of Education over the years. In order to curb the problem of Lack of competent teachers, Absence of proper educational setups, no proper guidance and High level corruption, Edunachal was set-up in an attempt to address the issues in education and come up with solutions.
The most recent inspiring initiative started by the institution for the youth of Arunachal Pradesh is 'SUPER 20' which aims to select the twenty most competent aspirants through a written and interview test, and provide them One Year Free of Cost UPSC Coaching Classes. Under this program, the selected Super -20 aspirants are given free of cost coaching classes, answer writing practices, targeted daily revision and practices with relevant study materials and personalized mentorship. This idea was implemented in order to boost the selection numbers in UPSC exam from Arunachal Pradesh as the numbers are very low compared to other states.
Since its inception, Edunachal has provided exceptional results as 25 students have qualified the Sub Inspector Exams, 5 Students have qualified the Civil Services Exams, and 40 plus students qualified the Staff Selection Exams. More than 50 plus Teachers and Banking Exam students have also been successful in their attempt. Edunachal soon plans to expand its horizons to Delhi, Lucknow and Patna and also provide various personalized mentorship programs Like UPSC Club, APPSC Club, and SUPER-20.
