Creativity has no bars and can outperform all the barriers: Anita Chavan

This world is a beautiful thing. People who have everything won’t work hard to achieve and people who have limited opportunities hustle all the way to make a mark in the society. Nothing can hold you back if you’re convicted and determined to achieve something in life. That too age cannot be an issue when your goal is clear.

The story of Anita Chavan, a 54 year old interior designer from Mumbai stands as a testament for this. There's this common notion among the society that women can’t achieve much after their marriage and will fall under the family and cores. But Anita proved this false and showed that if a female has set her mind once, there’s nothing called obstruction for her.

Anita is a cheerful woman who has inculcated joyfulness as a part of life. She comes from a small town in Konkan region of Maharashtra..She completed her graduation in B.Sc in the same town.

Later moved to Mumbai to do masters and completed M.Sc from Institute Of Science  Churchgate. But later she got married. She easily could have sat in her home looking at the house chores like many women would do. But the thirst of her study outraced. She studied B.Ed even after her marriage. Because she didn't want to limit her abilities.

Later she worked as a teacher and coordinator for 15 long years in secondary and higher secondary, well known schools in Mumbai. She was awarded with a regional gold medal in mathematics creative toolkit . In fact she loved to mingle with students. But Anita’s mind was full of creativity. This led her to pursue a creative way. So she opted for a professional creative course in interior designing. She learned the best creative way to give her clients the aesthetic look for their homes and offices.

She later started her own company called Pratik Interiors through which she’s helping her clients to create magical interiors in their home and offices with an aesthetic look for last 18 years.

Meanwhile in this journey Anita is blessed with a boy and a girl child. Both have studied well and are well settled now. Her daughter is working as Architect,  Masters in Urban Design in Canada and a son has completed B.Tech and MBA and is working in a reputed company in Mumbai.

But Anita didn’t settle here. She has stretched her hands to multiple areas. She is also a meditation coach and counselor. She conducts many workshops and seminars to teach meditation to people through her venture Eternity Meditation.

She also has founded a group called Mitava Foundation which works to fulfill needs of the unprivileged.

Anita Chavan has been a popular entrepreneur and has been working for the progress of the society too along with her works. Many institutions and associations have recognised her works and facilitated her with  awards and live interviews. She has received the prestigious Global Asia award on an international platform as creative entrepreneur of the year 2022. She has been awarded with Mrs. India Golden Heart for her meditation session for models at the Taj Events. 

There’s no point in continuing to blame others for not getting enough opportunities to prove yourself. The world is so vast and modern technology has been helping everyone to reach their goal.

Anita believes “Change is the only permanent entity”. In the roller coaster journey of life, Instead of getting depressed better meditate, embrace the change, heal yourself and rise as Phoenix.
