Awareness Program on MSME TEAM Initiative Receives Strong Response in Trivandrum

TRIVANDRUM: An awareness workshop on the MSME TEAM Initiative was successfully organized by the Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) Kerala in association with the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Cochin Branch, on 24 May 2026 at Hotel Hyatt, Trivandrum.

 

 

The event attracted entrepreneurs, MSME owners, startup founders, industry professionals, and government officials. The workshop focused on helping participants understand the benefits of the MSME TEAM Initiative and other government schemes that support business growth.

 

Chief Guest Smt. Jeeva, IFS, inaugurated the workshop and appreciated the efforts of SICCI Kerala and NSIC in promoting awareness among entrepreneurs. She encouraged business owners to use available government support for improving their businesses.

 

Sh. Premraj, Additional Director of the Directorate of Industries, Government of Kerala, highlighted the important contribution of MSMEs to the state's economy. He encouraged entrepreneurs to take advantage of government initiatives that promote innovation, technology, and sustainable business development.

 

Dr. Thomas Nechupadam, Chair of SICCI Kerala, addressed the gathering and spoke about the organization's mission to support entrepreneurs through awareness programs, networking events, and industry collaboration. He said such initiatives help businesses stay informed and prepared for future opportunities.

 

Experts from NSIC conducted technical sessions where participants learned about digital transformation, government support, and technology driven business solutions. The sessions provided practical knowledge that entrepreneurs can use to improve their businesses.

 

The workshop also featured B2B and B2C presentations, allowing businesses to introduce their products and services while building professional relationships with other participants.

 

The interactive question and answer session gave entrepreneurs the opportunity to discuss their concerns directly with experts and government officials. Participants received useful advice on business registration, financial support, technology adoption, and government schemes.

 

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Sh. Rajesh Nair, who thanked all dignitaries, experts, participants, and the organizing team for their valuable contribution.

 

The successful workshop demonstrated the shared commitment of SICCI Kerala and NSIC to strengthening the MSME sector. It provided entrepreneurs with useful knowledge, practical guidance, and networking opportunities that will help them grow their businesses and contribute to Kerala's economic development.
