Aarya has a very vivid imagination and loves to imagine different scenarios and talk about them with her mother. She also loves to express them the same through stories and art work. This story is a child’s fantasy worded for other children to see her vision.

Giggles in the sky – A sky school adventure is a fantasy aimed at stoking the creative ideas of its young readers. This story is the perspective of a 5-year-old of a world that she considered fantastical. It encourages it’s readers to open the bounds of their own imaginations, of things that excite them, problems that scare them and the innovative solutions to solve these problems
- Children's books heavily rely on their illustrations. What was the creative process like, and how did working with the illustrator improve the storytelling?
Illustrations are developed from child’s art work which she drew or asked to be drawn for coloring.
- Having a connection with young readers is crucial. In your children's books, how do you manage to combine entertainment and education?
Since this story is the work of a child itself, other children would connect to it instantly.
The perspective of children is unadulterated and not constrained by any negative experiences that generally block adults to think out of the box.In this story, Aarma amalgamates her imagination with the knowledge she acquired from books such as how thunder is created or what is the water cycle.
5.The characters of Aarya are endearing and realistic. How does Aarya develop relatable characters for kids, and does she use elements from her own upbringing?
The characters in this story are what Aarya sees around her, such as her teachers, the security guards in her school and her friends.
These are the people that all the kids can relate with. What Aarya has done is put her childlike vision for the came roles and imagine what if the same roles were played by fairies and mystical animals.
- Kids can find a variety of entertainment options in the digital age. What part, in Aarya's opinion, do children's books play in encouraging a love of reading and storytelling?
Books have always been and will continue to be the primary source of imparting knowledge to children.
Story books allow each kid to visualize the story in his or her own way. For example when a reader reads of a school in the cloud, one child may imagine a school with red walls and yellow roof and another may imagine the cloud itself wo be of the shape of a fruit.
Story books allow kids to create their own vision and also triggers the creative nerves in their limitless imagination.
7.Children's literature has a unique language and style. How does Aarya adapt her work to appeal to young readers while keeping it sophisticated enough for them to pick it up over time?
It is important to keep the language simple but exciting. In this case the idea was to keep the language as close to how it was narrated by Aarya for the first time.
Again, this is a story by a 5-year-old and hence the language should bear the same essence.
- Children are frequently introduced to books by their families and teachers. How does Aarya see her books being used in classrooms or as part of reading programs for families?
It would be great if schools could keep some copies in their own library and do highlight the fact to the tiny readers that this is indeed a story written by a child just like them.
