  1. What motivated you to write this specific novel, and how did the plot develop?

We discovered during a conversation on a ship I commanded that there was a lack of knowledge about the Merchant Marine for young people who wanted to become sailors and for individuals in general who were curious about the truth about life at sea. My 2nd Officer, who is regrettably no longer with us, demanded that I captured the reality of sailors' lives in fiction while still making my work interesting and enjoyable.

The narrative has always taken place at sea; my role was merely to witness and translate.

  1. Could you elaborate on your writing process? Do you have any special rituals or a set schedule that you follow to help you enter the creative flow?

All we need to do is adjust our frequency to pick up the signals; everything is within of us. However, dedication and training are necessary to put ideas on paper. In addition to acquiring the required knowledge online, I participated in a writers' workshop. It required months of mental discipline to sink in that this was now a career rather than a pastime born of natural ability. Additionally, any task is eighty percent tedious and uninteresting and twenty percent passionate—it just needs to be done.

  1. Your book's characters are incredibly unique and unforgettable. Did they come from your imagination alone, or are they based on actual individuals?

I never got bored waiting for my shipment exams at the Mercantile Department lobby, the airport, or the train station. Much later, I discovered that people-watching was entertaining. Include in that everything I've read since I was two years old. While some characters are made up, some are based on real people.

  1. Your book explores [particular topic or problem]. What inspired you to investigate this issue, and what ideas or conversations do you want readers to have after reading your writing?

I chose this theme since I have lived at sea for the majority of my life and I know a little something about it. Depending on the reader and their mental condition, the book can be read on several different levels. There are passages that would force readers to pause and consider both spiritually and worldly issues. This should be a clear conclusion.

  1. In your book, the world-building is very detailed and captivating. What steps did you take to create the environment, and were there any historical events or real-world locales that you found inspiring?

Regards! As long as the words allow readers to picture the circumstances as they were—of course, everyone sees things differently—I think it's because the setting, a ship at sea, is strange to most people. Without a question, my travels served as inspiration for the locales, but I also used my imagination to imbue most, if not all, of them with a sense of amazement, wonder, and suspense.

  1. How do you, as a writer, strike a balance between the demands of the genre and the desire for originality? Did you face any difficulties interpreting well-known components in your own way?

I write based on instinct before going back and editing. This is where reader expectations are blended in with logic and reasoning.

  1. The story's well-written flow keeps readers interested from beginning to end. Could you describe how you keep the story moving forward and keeping tension high?

I stop being the writer and adopt a restless, impatient mindset when I evaluate. If I don't enjoy the book, I don't think many other people would either. First of all, writing tight text gets simpler with experience.

  1. How do you envision the function of conventional storytelling changing in the age of quickly evolving media and reader preferences? How do you modify your writing to appeal to modern audiences?
  2. A) Not all inventions are revolutionary; some are just part of the ever-evolving tradition. I think there is a core to humanity that will always be the same. No matter how much we change or how modern we become, it is the essence of storytelling's allure.
