Ravi Kumar – The ‘Bahubali’ in the world of writers of multi genre books.

Ravi Kumar is an Indian writer who has made his mark in story telling with his extraordinary sense of combining science, technology and mythology in an interesting way. Having published two books on his famous ‘BALA’ series, he is known as a ‘story weaver’ amongst his fans and readers.

A working professional in weekdays and a writer in weekends, he juggles between his profession and hobby but always come up with an interesting story for his audience.

“Why should we have a single genre when our life is built with multi genre themes.” He says candidly. His books cover many aspects of life, the core aspects being Indian space science, Mythology and Indian History.

Raised in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, he completed his graduation and masters from Pune University. Spent fifteen years in Pune during his early years of career and currently settled with his family in Bangalore. He is working as a Program Manager in a top FinTech company.

Bangalore also being a space science hub, he used to often pass through ISRO and Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre. That is when he thought to write a blog on life of a space scientist. Right from his childhood he was fascinated by Indian space science and Indian Mythology. He believes there is a strong connection between them.  When he read more on the Indian space scientists; their common life, their struggle, he decided to carve a story out of it. He strongly believes that there was never a fight between humans, religions, ethnicity, caste, gender etc but there has always been a fight between the good and the evil.

The story of Balachandra Swamy (BALA) is so vast that he later realized that a blog will not do justice to his story. Then he changed the course and carved two beautiful books with the names,

BALA-The Immortal Indian Scientist’ and ‘BALA-The Mystery of Naga Shankara’.

It took him more than eighteen months for the first part and sixteen months for the second part to be completed. The story is based on both factual and fictitious science concepts combined with some beliefs from Hindu mythology and cosmology.

“People love to read simple, romantic stories where they feel they are connected in some ways. But we all know that our lives are not just stories of romance and there is more to it. There is hatred, greed, compassion, struggle, pride, power, justice, thrill, mystery, drama, action, adventure, faith and miracle. So, we have to show the world what life is all about.’ He says revealing his thoughts.

‘Enough of the fabricated fiction, welcome to the real fiction.’ He says sarcastically pointing to those who try to super fabricate stories in the name of fiction.
